The war may not be over.. CVA could come back from the ashes.. And this could just be another chapter in the ever interesting saga that has enveloped the two largest RP alliances in game…
Or it could truly be the end. Its hard to tell at this point as CVA still has alot of quality pilots.. but even now, it seems that they are ignoring the reality that they may not have space in days if not hours. Instead, the forums are full of how to make changes to NRDS to account for Dominion. In my humble opinion, perhaps this was the discussion they should have had before they tried to take Catch space. No one in Paxton thought it was a good idea the first time around.. much less the second time CVA/LFA invaded Catch. I know, I was there for both. I was one of those who talked with Randall when the call went out for PXF to join the invasion. I have to admit, there was quite a bit of satisfaction when after a bit, Randall said, “No. El Torrent said we weren’t going to play sov games.” Oh, hearing LFA FCs be pissed on chat was wonderful. But, I was rather disappointed when later the order was reversed. Everyone in Paxton knew this would result. But.. we still fought and are still fighting. And I’m proud to say that not only have we kept fighting.. we’ve improved.
Don’t get me wrong, I personally owe no alliegence to CVA. Having flown under them as part of the Citadel gang, we as a corp and our alliance (Blackwater) spent months trying to get their attention so that we could get a small piece of 0.0 space. We thought we got their attention. Now.. heh, I see we were just another sad corp/alliance to them, supposedly begging for their help. But, they had no intention of rewarding us. They just fed us scraps to keep us around. Even now as I fought for them under the Paxton banner, they’ve treated us like secondary citizens… as if our existance was just tolerated. But we like Paxton and they respect us, so we stay and we fight.. and we work hard to fill our KBs with the enemy. And now.. “superior” CVA pilots are few and far between, while Paxton pilots and FCs have improved with the constant fighting.
So, what will happen? I don’t know to be honest. AAA/UK could overrun us fairly easy given their numbers and we would have to find a new home. If that happens, somehow I think CVA will tag along… though they need a large dose of humility at this point (as losing trillions in not only CVA but holder assets as well should). Or AAA/UK will just leave us be a place for the other guys to roam, though if they were serious about keeping us in fighting form, they would at least let us get a pipe to empire. Either way, its going to be interesting few weeks.

2nd Anomaly From the Left 
I think the small corporations and alliances in and around Providence expect too much from them. Their attitude is generally, “If I show up to Citadel gangs and shoot reds in Providence, I’ll grow up to be a holder or CVA will love me forever.” I say this having been in a small corporation and later an alliance (with a split personality about sovereignty).
It’s not that they treat these people badly, it’s that there are so many of them and most of them are small organizations. Most of them have just come looking for the free stuff; and some of them are just spies.
The amazing thing about CVA was that they would let anybody into their space. You could take their free stuff — until you proved that they were there to cause trouble. That’s not really happening anywhere else. And if CVA goes away, it’s not terribly likely to happen again. The ‘cool kids’ have decided it’s just not cool to hold space and be NRDS.
The KOS list (while propagandized as ‘Standings Enclosurism’, whatever that means) was a way to tell whether or not somebody was likely to shoot you. Sure, you still didn’t trust anybody you didn’t know, but you knew for certain that reds were there for trouble.
NRDS without the KOS list is just apathy.
Well, I can agree to a certain degree.. but the CVA pitch is that you will get noticed. And we did work hard to get noticed. We just didn’t “X” up in Citadel, we formed roaming gangs. We established NRDS in the low-sec Sukanan Constellation while we were there. We kept talking to CVA to see what else we could do to reach that goal and whatever they asked.. we did. After alot of hard work, and no progress, we stopped bothering with it. Some of us were frustrated enough by the experience that we were very tempted to hunt CVA instead.
I also will agree that unless you have an active, working KOS list.. NRDS is going to be difficult to maintain. NBSI has the advantage of being easy that way. -A-/UK has indicated that they will have NIPs in place.. but that is all.. so like you could be having a bunch of “mini-NAPs” inside Providence.
I didn’t mean to insinuate your corporation had done something wrong; it’s more that CVA promises (or hints at promises) a lot but has really bad customer service. It’s not that they tried to mistreat people (which is how it’s often taken) but that they just didn’t have the capability to deal with what they had created in a way that addresses everybody.
The NRDS is quite easy for UK to maintain — it’s just that it doesn’t have the same meaning as CVA’s NRDS. Whereas CVA provided some measure of usefulness for residents of Providence, UK will simply stand by and observe what’s going on as long as you don’t shoot them.
Anyway, I’ve been hearing rumors of why PXF is left untouched. Will be interesting to see how it pans out.
Yeah.. CVA put in alot of work having a somewhat useful list available. And it will be interesting to see how PXF plays, if Paxton choose to play at all. And as far as rumors go… I’m all ears..
