Fresh off of Reddit, CCP Fozzie drops the latest on the upcoming E-War cruiser Tiercide project. Here is the Eve post from CCP Fozzie.
Arbitrator: Cruiser skill bonuses: 7.5% bonus to Tracking Disruptor effectiveness 10% bonus to drone hitpoints, damage and mining yield Slot layout: 4 H, 4 M, 5 L (+1), 2 turrets, 1 launcher Fittings: 575 PWG, 325 CPU (+25) Defense (shields / armor / hull) : 1100(+84) / 1500(+132) / 1600(+232) Capacitor (amount / recharge rate / average cap per second): 1375(+313) / 490s(+108.75s) / 2.8 (+0.02) Mobility (max velocity / agility / mass / align time): 200(+41) / 0.56(-0.05) / 11200000 / 5.9s (-0.5) Drones (bandwidth / bay): 50 / 150 Targeting (max targeting range / Scan Resolution / Max Locked targets): 50km / 285(+3) / 7(+1) Sensor strength: 15 Radar (+3) Signature radius: 130 Cargo capacity: 345
The Arbitrator gets a definate improvement, with an increase of 50% to Tracking Disruptor effectiveness, now at 7.5% per level. An additional low slot has also been added and significant improvements to the capacitor. The overall hitpoints to the ship have also been increased, with nearly 10% to 15% addition protection across all defenses. Minor improvements to sensors allow for a slightly faster lock speed, one additional target lock, and a boost to sensor strength. Overall, I think this ship will become a staple across all sorts of fleets, from solo to even large fleets.

The Blackbird also gets some pretty beefy improvements. The additional lowslot will give it more options for armor tanked versions, plus the additional CPU will mean less need for CPU upgrade modules too. Strangely, shields were given a tiny decrease, but both hull and armor were given a hefty boost.. very appropriate all things considered. Capacitor, Agility, and Speed were all improved. The new Blackbird even can field a couple drones. On top of that, this new ECM Blackbird gets a targeting range buff as well. I expect to see a lot more of these on the field now.

When previously discussing the Celestis, the CCP devs definately indicated that there would be a sizeable revamp to this ship due to how poorly Sensor Dampeners work. They did not disappoint. Losing the Hybrid Damage bonus, the New Celestis gets a 50% bonus to Sensor Dampener Effectiveness (Now at 7.5% per level) AND a 10% bonus to optimal range per level. Paired with the increase in targets, range, and scan resolution, this could definately find its place in dealing with enemy ranged ships like the Tornado and Maelstroms. Additional improvements include two additional lows, hefty increases to capacitor size and recharge rate, and improvements in speed, drone bay, and drone bandwidth. There are some downsides to this ship however. The loss of a damage bonus and a combat high slot, is only partially offset by the ability to fly one more medium drone. The improved tank might make up for this, but we’ll have to see.
Bellicose: Cruiser skill bonuses: 7.5% bonus to Target Painter effectiveness 5% bonus to Rapid Light, Heavy Assault and Heavy Missile Launcher rate of fire Slot layout: 4 H (-1), 5 M (+1), 4 L (+1), 4 launchers Fittings: 575 PWG, 360 CPU (+110) Defense (shields / armor / hull) : 1400(+150) / 1200(-11) / 1500(+289) Capacitor (amount / recharge rate / average cap per second): 1200(+262.5) / 427.5s(+92.5s) / 2.8 Mobility (max velocity / agility / mass / align time): 240(+31) / 0.51 / 11550000 / 5.5s Drones (bandwidth / bay): 50(+10)/ 50(+10) Targeting (max targeting range / Scan Resolution / Max Locked targets): 42.5km / 300(+7) / 7 Sensor strength: 14 Ladar (+3) Signature radius: 120 (+10) Cargo capacity: 315
Last, and usually least, the Bellicose also got improvements this time around. Significant improvements. This thing is like a Rapier, only more dangerous. While the Bellicose lost a turret damage bonus as well as one highslot, it has been replaced with a missile damage bonus AND the ability to fit four missile launchers instead of the previous 3 turrets/3 launchers setup. It also snags an additional mid and low slot and plenty of additional CPU. Shields and hull were substantially improved. The Capacitor was also upgraded with a drastic improvement in size and recharge rate. The ship still gets a fairly low target range, but now also gets enough drone bay space and bandwidth to field a full flight of medium drones. I don’t think we’ll see this one much in the field initially.. mainly because Target Painters are still only substantially good against smaller targets. But, this is a good step in the right direction, and it may yet see rapid deployment among Faction Warfare members.
