Years ago .. yeah, wow. What a way to start…
Years ago, I started this blog developing combat fits for unpopular ships and testing them out and giving my experiences in real time. Strangely enough, I am thinking of restarting this blog with that exact same concept in mind again. The Eve Universe has changed.. and changed drastically in that time and by far it has become a better, more polished game, with a community that is second to none. The community has gone from minor blogs like mine, to podcasts, to major blogs and news agencies. Eve is now.. BIG again. And the blogging/podcasting community has gotten small due to the rapid changes and life in general.
Don’t worry, I am not going to promise that my blog will be good, or relevant, or worthwhile to keep a look out for. But I do like writing and I will try to do a good job. This is a hobby after all.
What I do plan on doing is keeping it local, i.e. stories and interests that related to the areas of Providence and Catch. I have a lot of history there and I still operate in the area daily. But it has changed drastically from when the days were that Aralis and his buddies made it a roleplay paradise.
Some points I’d like to make:
- The corp I am in, m3 Corp, fought in the Sukanan Constellation back in the day when it was.. well, HARD to get invited into Providence. Really, really hard.
- My corp fought in the epic war between AAA/Ursha’Khan and CVA in the Paxton Alliance right on the front lines (known as Provi 1.0), including the epic slaughter at D-G, a place which still holds a bittersweet memory.
- I still fly in CVA space now, under the Evictus. banner, a holder for CVA.
- No, I don’t have a wizard’s hat.
With the brilliant addition of Ascension and the Alpha clones, it is time for the Eve blogging community to start waking up again to a whole slew of players who are just now opening their eyes to how impressive a game can be. And they are lucky too.. the game is a whole lot more polished that when we began..
Remember to keep your guns loaded, and I’ll see you on the other side.
